Funding Opportunities to Celebrate Glasgow 850

We currently have two funding opportunities open for applications, the Festival Fund and The Glasgow 850 Celebration Fund.

Both funds are designed to help organisations celebrate Glasgow 850 throughout 2025, with the likes of festivals, events and activities.

Festival Fund

The Festival Fund is open to existing festival and events to incorporate Glasgow 850 activities into their programming for 2025. Applications of up to £5,000 can be applied for, for events running between June and December this year.

The fund aims to support organisers to celebrate the richness and diversity of Glasgow talent, engage children and young people, and deliver community outreach activities. They can use it to expand the range of programming, reach and duration of existing initiatives.

The Glasgow 850 Celebration Fund

The Glasgow 850 Celebration Fund is open to all organisations, charities and community groups to bid for small grants of up to £850, towards local events, projects and activities. This could be for new or existing community events such as gala or family fun days, sports activities or heritage walks and talks.

Application Deadline

Both funding applications are now open and will close on Friday the 4^th of April 2025. Full guidance, eligibility and application forms can be found below.  Completed applications must be sent to glasgow850@glasgow.gov.uk ahead of the deadline.
